Karl is leading on External and Government Affairs for Compleo Charging Solutions UK, and is also the Managing Director of EV consultancy Defcon27 Limited.

Karl was the CEO, board director and founder of innogy eMobility UK, the E.ON owned subsidiary that specialized in supplying advanced electric vehicle charging hardware and software technology from 2018 up until the company was purchased by Compleo in December 2021 and renamed.

Karl joined innogy eMobility from Nissan GB, where he held the role of National EV Manager – Corporate Sales. He has previously held positions with the Energy Saving Trust and General Motors and has been in the automotive industry for 30 years in the UK and overseas.

In our conversation we talk about his entry into and progression through the automotive industry, his relatively early exposure to Electric vehicles and how they became a focus for him and in one role at least provided a differentiator and a key sense of purpose for the team he was leading.

I'm pleased to be able to introduce you to Karl as one of the early champions of our transition to electrification and look forward to hearing what resonates with you.
