Cohosts Jenn Boenig and Ruby Bean talk transportation with Tina Payton, who is the associate director of transportation at CCI and Julie Miles who is a senior customer service representative at CCI.   

Tina shared transportation continues to be identified as one of the leading barriers to wellness for Maine residents.  If an individual has MaineCare, they are required to schedule their transportation rides through the statewide broker, ModivCare by calling  855.608.5180.  ModivCare then distributes the rides among the various transportation providers, such as Community Concepts. 

Anyone not having MaineCare can call Community Concepts' Transportation directly at 207.795.6073  to set up a ride. 

CCI is always looking for volunteer drivers. Drivers do get reimbursed for mileage, undergo training and a background check, and drive their own vehicle. Interested in driving? Fill out our online application today!
