Do you have to check your brain at the door and give up all logic in order to accept the claims of Christianity? Absolutely not. 

Is Christianity a leap into the dark? No, it is not. In fact, Christianity is a step into the light. 

How should we then live? The Apostle Peter gives us God's answer in 1 Peter 3:15... be righteous, be ready, be reasonable, and be respectful!
