Alyssa Wolff specializes in simplifying life for introverted moms (aka your stuff, your sanity, and your schedule). She has 11+ years’ experience balancing multiple kids while still getting time to recharge.
SUGGESTIONS: Break up your day into a few different parts—have a short to-do list for each portion of the day. Be willing to change plans and give yourself a break as needed. Consider yourself along with your children. In parenting it’s easy to put our needs aside for the sake of what our children need, but as the parent we also have needs.
Ask yourself, what would make me feel better about the day? Look for the tasks that don’t take much brain power. You’ll still feel accomplished, but it’ll be more doable. Be willing to pivot and disappoint people.
Reflection Techniques
Check in during the morning before the day gets started, again right before lunch, and once more mid afternoon. Ask yourself the following questions during those check-ins.
Pausing to consider can shift the day!
REMINDER: You’re doing good enough. Perfection is not the goal. Let go of other peoples’ expectations.
