She helps them understand how what they eat everyday not only affects them and their family, but also the environment.
As the consumer we need to care about the environment and figure out what our priorities are. If we become just a little bit more conscious and a little more thoughtful, it would help! Consider the foods you eat and the waste you produce.
In order to better the planet, consider the following:
(Ex: reducing waste, eating nourishing foods)
a. What are you doing to make those things priority?
Remember priorities change!!! You adjust your life to fit your priorities. Consider what you say is a priority. Are you living in a way that demonstrates that?
(Ex: at the grocery store, what does it mean that the chicken is organic/cage free?)
(It doesn’t have to be so big that you can’t do something about it right now. It’s not about perfection. Doing good enough is fine!)
a. What can you do today?
Living intentionally means that you shape your life around your priorities. You know the direction you’re going so it’s easier to know what to say yes to and what to say no to. It eliminates some questions!
Don’t make all the changes at once—focus on one thing and create change in that area for starters! If we’re all just being a little more careful and thoughtful we create a ripple and better the environment!
