Let’s continue the conversation around emotional triggering. In today’s episode I share a personal experience of how I am triggered and how inner healing is helping me to feel less emotionally activated. I touch on how codependency shows up and compare how it looks to live interdependent.

When we experience an emotional flash back we will sometimes have intense (big) emotions over something that may seem minuscule. Even a look can spiral us downward! Emotionally triggering happens all throughout the day. Until we become aware of our triggers we won’t know why they’re happening and what we need to heal within. There’s no shame if you trigger. Remember, there’s a reason for any exaggerated emotional response.

Consider what thoughts and feelings are below the trigger. Explore within yourself, where did those thoughts and feelings originate? Expect an unraveling. Reach out for trusted support before or during this process. This journey wasn’t intended to be done alone.

The goal in healing is to discover our authentic self and then define that self. Other people shouldn’t get to define us. My goal is to let my inner child know that she is significant. As I heal, the view others have of me doesn’t affect me in such a dramatic way. I need their approval less and less. I see the value within my self which settles me. I don’t need to make everyone comfortable. I don’t need everyone to like or agree with me to be okay.

Certain elements that are very important to healing yourself are practicing self compassion, setting and living within boundaries that feel right for you and managing your self talk to ensure you’re living in love towards yourself.

It’s possible to experience inner peace and joy! If you would like my support as you work through your emotional triggers, I am running a BOGO sale through the end of June. Take advantage of it by going to https://changeradicallyscheduler.as.me
