Sitting with your thoughts can be daunting. It feels uncomfortable to hear all the negative thoughts you have about yourself or even others. These thoughts build negativity, anger, resentment, jealousy, inferiority, superiority and so much more. How do you control these? How do you even know you have these emotions? And why you have them? Self reflection is not easy. It’s when you allow yourself to think whatever and then question it like a curious child with the question “why?” It feels very confrontational but it’s so crucial that we do that to understand ourselves. Even though it creates immense discomfort for a while, it helps you moderate your emotions and show others your authentic self in that moment. That feels liberating. So explore your thoughts and ideas without judgment. Don’t be afraid of your own hypocrisy during the process. It’s part of the journey. Let me know if you’ve been on this journey or if you’re starting now. Follow me on @apodforthought on Instagram and Facebook. Happy Reflecting! 😊
