Homily for The Eighth Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year A

On the day of baby Philomena’s baptism at the Cathedral of the Most Blessed Sacrament in Detroit, the question “what is baptism?”  The God-given, true reality of baptism is nothing short of magnificent.
