SubjectACT presenter Doug Dobing talks with St Edmunds' College student John-Paul Romano and his father, well-known Canberra solicitor Peter Romano about John-Paul's controversial suspension, his passion as an advocate and his future.

In the first part of the program, we talk about the events that led up to John-Paul's indefinite suspension for apparently having a 'dangerous' attitude. He said he just wanted to give the students an opportunity to start a conversation about changes at the College.

But there's more to John-Paul, as school is a small part of his life. Later in the program, we discover more about John-Paul.

Despite being 17 years old, he is an already an active volunteer and leader in the Canberra community, involved in several resident group committees and has a passion for being an advocate.
