Will Steffen served as a climate change expert and researcher at the Australian National University, Canberra. He was on the panel of experts supporting the Multi-Party Climate Change Committee, has served as the Science Adviser to the Australian Department of Climate Change and Energy Efficiency, and was chair of the Antarctic Science Advisory Committee.
In the aftermath of the US election, we ask Australian National University Emeritus Professor Will Steffen to unpick some of the environmental implications of climate change and how best to address this complex geopolitical issue from a scientific viewpoint.
