Happy New Year! Today is "Motivation and Inspiration Day"--and I intend to do both! Today we begin a brand new schedule, with many new resources!

  • Stay-On-Track Bible Reading Schedule: Today's reading is Genesis 1-5. This schedule runs Monday through Friday, and gives you the weekends to catch up or read ahead. If you use an audio Bible option, it takes less than 20 minutes to cover these chapters. Really not as daunting as it might seem. Try it here: https://www.biblestudytools.com/audio-bible/esv/genesis/
  • Here is where I'll include my "52 Weeks in the Word" thoughts, once I have the book and get started. If you want to use it too, get yours here: https://www.amazon.com/Weeks-Word-Carefully.../dp/B0BLG2Q13S
  • Daily Jesus Prophecy: Genesis 3:15 with fulfillment in Galatians 4:4-5 and Matthew 1:18.
  • Daily Scripture Writing from The Planning Woman: Today's passage is the Jewish Sh'mah, Deuteronomy 6:4-9.
  • Daily Scripture Memory: This week we begin memorizing 1 Corinthians 13, with verse 1.
  • Amy Carmichael's "If": We'll read some introductory thoughts about how the book came to be written today. Read it here: https://archive.org/details/if1968carm/page/n11/mode/2up
  • Our final prayer scripture on the topic of "Witnessing" is 1 Peter 3:15.
  • Hymnary- "My Jesus, As Thou Wilt" by Benjamin Schmolck (1704) is the best New Year's Resolution we can make. This is an excellent "Little Book" recounting what it looked like when a pastor and his congregation decided to implement what came to be known as WWJD (What Would Jesus Do): https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/4540
