In Human Design, we have 9 energy centers in the body. On a bodygraph, the energy centers that are defined are colored in, and the open centers are white.

In this episode, we talk navigating about the Ajna Center:

  • Defined energy centers are consistent, fixed energy that shows up in a reliable way.
  • And Open centers are just that-- open! Our open centers are where the majority of our conditioning comes from.
  • The Ajna is our conceptualizing center. It controls how you think.
  • Look at your bodygraph: it sits right below the head center, it’s that inverted triangle, the second center from the top down.
  • If yours is colored in, it’s defined-- a defined Ajna center has a fixed and reliable way in which it processes information. This can make you seem and feel certain of your opinions, concepts, and theories
  • If it’s white, it’s open! The undefined Ajna has a unique way of looking at the world through infinite lenses. With no fixed way of processing information, the Open Anja is designed to be flexible, adaptable, able to take in a lot of information without becoming fixated on any of it.
