I want this podcast to be a place where you can visit and leave with something. This podcast will be a place to related in experiences as well as feel real human emotions. I hope that you find a place here and join me on this new adventure.
What isn't there to love about permadeath? What about the complete randomization of your entire gameplay? There are a lot of things to like about the roguelike and roguelite subgenres but my favorite....will be discussed in this episode haha. Although I am by no means a video game expert I thought that it would be really cool to start talking about the things that I really enjoy in life. I hope that you all enjoy this new format!
In today's episode I talk about something totally different as I make a complete 180 on what I want this podcast to be centered around. The podcast will now be centered around the things that I love in life like video games, music, tv, and even dinosaurs. In this episode specifically I focus on the video game subgenre "Roguelikes" now I am no video game expert so cut me some slack haha. I hope that you enjoy this new format
After being on a long distance relationship for a very long time I always questioned the fact "do long distance relationships work?" In this episode we dive into the differences between a traditional relationship and long distance relationships. We also discuss the many tips and tricks to help your long distance relationship fun smoothly.
In this episode I really dive into the things that should and shouldn't be classified as "bare minimum." I also talk about the unfairness that comes with the praise men get for doing normal everyday things. If you have ever felt yourself feeling guilty for wanting more from your partner please listen to this episode!
Have you ever had a dream baby? In this episode we talk about why we have dream babies and if it has a deeper meaning.
In this episode I ask the simple yet impactful question, "are you okay?" From here we talk more about the stigma around mental health!
In this episode I talk about chasing the person you love the downside of losing yourself in the process
Hey y'all guess who's back?!?! In todays episode I wanted to catch you up on why I haven't been uploading recently and the sort of things I'm working towards. I also discussed the importance of putting more energy into yourself and embracing every second that life gives you. Lets truly bring back the phrase "Y.O.L.O" for 2023 and make it a new year to remember!
In this episode I discuss some of my health issues and some mental health questions I have always been curious about. I also wanted to talk about the importance of being an advocate for your health when healthcare professionals try to make you seem as if your concerns aren't valid. Stay safe and healthy
In this episode I wanted to highlight the issue that we have here in the US when it comes to serial killers and being desensitized to things that should bother us.
In this episode I discuss the opportunities that the universe has provided me with and the choices I have to make in order to make the best out of them. This episode is about taking accountability over the decisions you make in life and how sometimes there's no clear answer on what is the wrong or right path
In this episode we touch on grief and the guilt that can sometimes be associated with losing someone close to you. I had the question "how long do we grieve after losing someone or something?" it is a question that I am still waiting to discover the answer to. I have only lost a few people and animals in my life but I find that even then their lives touch me often, even now.
In this episode I talk about some of the dreams I had when I was younger and talk about just how different they are compared to my dreams and goals now. It's funny looking back on the things we wanted to accomplish and see how different or similar they are to the way we think now.
In this episode we discuss whether or not poc women are as desired as other women. Growing up in a world where Black women were never seen as a standard of beauty was heartbreaking and confusing but why? We are beautiful people who also deserve to be the vision of beauty. I also throw in a little advice about relationships and my personal experiences. Remember ladies we don't need to beg or ask for the attention of any man no matter the race!! except maybe Ross, HEY!!!!
In this episode we discuss the two books that I recently finished reading and touch on the common theme between them...girlhood. There are good things and bad things that we experience in girlhood and being able to read about how similar we can be even with living in different circumstances was so cool. It's always nice to have these episodes where I get to share the things I love with you!
In this episode we tackle the complicated question that is "love or codependency" as someone who was in a codependent relationship blindly for years it was really difficult for me to come to the conclusion that maybe it wasn't ever love. Sometimes we are so stuck believing that we cannot function with a relationship that we don't take that step back to properly analyze the situation. I am not an expert just a girl who has lived through the topics I discuss and learn as I go!
The world can be a harsh place, a place where we face the backlash of not fitting societies standard of beauty but why do we add on to this pressure by bullying ourselves along with them? In todays episode I wanted to turn it over to being a chubby woman in America and sadly what sorta negativity that holds. We have to understand that our value as people comes far beyond the way we are built
Have you ever worked somewhere that left you feeling completely different about certain views? After working in childcare there are a couple things that I swore that I would do differently for my kids.
We all want to lead a life that we are happy with but sometimes that can almost seem impossible with the lack of time and funds. So many people out in the world never get to live the life they want to until it's truly too late, so what can you do to better the quality of your life that does cost anything at all? We have to be able to spot the toxic, unhealthy relationships in our lives and handle the accordingly.
Have you been sticking with your New Year's Resolutions? I mentioned in a past episode that I wanted to read 10 books before 2022 ended, well have I been sticking to it? Why do we enjoy reading? Does it help to inspire us in other aspects of life? Lets talk about it.
Music is something that we all learn to love from a young age no matter when or where we were raised. For some of us it is purely for enjoyment but for others it was a helping hand to get us through our darkest moments.
Have you ever felt like you had a specific purpose in life? In this episode we dive into my desires and what I feel my true destiny might be, along with tackling love and all of its complexities.
You know those cheesy sayings people always say like "just stop to smell the flowers", well maybe they were on to something. Life is very busy and sometimes I feel as if we are just living it way too quickly. With something as vast and curious as our world there is bound to be beauty everywhere, enjoyment everywhere we just have to take the time find it in the little things. Even at 25 years old I am still learning new things and how to navigate through this tricky game of life that I have been born into...thanks mom, but I will get there!
Is there something that you are passionate about? For me it has to be anything art related because being able to turn nothing into something is a great feeling. There are so many things out in the world for us to try so don't limit yourself.
Hello everyone and welcome to the first episode of 2022!!! So this episode is a little different because I really wanted to give the floor to some of the most important men in my life. There has been alot of male vs female arguments going on and honestly I feel as if we are all dealing with our own struggles that are sometimes very similar. We need to do better about supporting each other so that we can live in a world where everyone feels as if they are heard and valid!! I hope that this episode helps someone out there and to all of my friends who helped me out with this one thank you so much!
So my birthday just past last week and y'all being 25 is already so dingy!! This episode was all over the place but it was actually one of my favorites to record. There is a mix of updates, a mini emotional breakdown, and alot of motivational words so I hope you enjoy.
Now I wanted to make this episode because I have been on my own health journey and I has felt so good! I wanted to make sure to send a positive but realistic message out to my listeners about trying to get healthy. Every person is different thus our stories and journeys will be different as well and I'm here to let you all know that is okay! I hope this episode motivates you to get up and tackle one thing today even if its small.
Hey y'all I promise that I won't only be posting these update podcast but actually post content!! Now that I am back settled in my own space I will be able to post more consistently. Thank you all for being so supportive and patient
So in my previous podcasts I have talked about my dog, my relationship, but I haven't talked much about one more member of my family...my cat! I really wanted to share with you Ino's story and why she is such an important part of our lives because life with her has been an adventure.

So I am someone who really struggles with expectations and reality because I have always had my life planned out. As I get older and see everyone's life unfolding its upsetting when I realize that I'm not where I wanted to be. We have to take our negative emotions and use them as fuel!!!

So on Thursday January 28, 2021 my dog took is last breath surrounded by the two people who love him the most in this world. This whole month seems to be test after test and I'm hoping that this won't be a reoccurring thing. Now at the beginning of the year I told myself that 2021 is going to be a year of drastic change...whether that be good or bad change. It's unrealistic to believe that things will be good just because you say they will because none of us hold the power to control the outcome of the universe, well not a large scale. This was something that couldn't be stopped and no matter how much we loved him the universe still took him because thats just how life goes. Now it will take time seeing as I have been sheltered from death my entire life but I know that one day I will be able to move on and heal.
I LOVE SIMULATORS!!!
Hello everyone and welcome to episode 2 of Desti Domesticated! So in todays episode I talk all things simulators but for specifically farming simulators. Since Stardew Valley has basically taken over my life I decided that why not continue this obsession over on my podcast. So I love video games and have been playing them my entire life so it felt good to be able to just nerd out and talk about things and make me who I am. I really hope that this episode was too annoying...anyway thanks for listening!
