The story of creation is at the center of everything a Christian believes. If God did not create the world and everything in it, then all the theology of the Christian faith comes crashing down.
God’s Word is an anchor for your soul in a culture that is going from bad to worse. It’s necessary, sufficient, understandable, and final in the life of a Christian.
Those who have been transformed by Christ's forgiveness become people who extend that same forgiveness to others.
In a culture that pushes individualism, God calls the Believer to be a part of a local church to grow and be sent out on mission.
When you place your faith in Jesus it begins a life-long journey of spiritual growth (sanctification).
One of the most challenging truths in Scripture is the doctrine of the Trinity. The Father is God, the Son is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. One God, three distinct persons.
The most important question we can ask is at the heart of the Gospel – Who is Jesus? Jesus is truly God and Truly man to rescue us from sin.
If Jesus didn’t rise from the dead, our faith is pointless. The resurrection isn’t just a historic event, but a life-changing truth to believe.
You can’t free yourself from sin; you need a Savior. Have you placed your faith in Jesus Christ?
Praise is powerful. No matter what we face in life, it is always the right time to praise the Lord. He alone is worthy our praise.
There’s a way forward when we experience deep hurt, pain, and difficulties in life. Pour your heart out to God in prayer and let God do what only He can do.
Do your circumstances decide your stability, or are you resting on the fixed foundation of Christ?
Our response to the God who is all-knowing, all-powerful, and everywhere should be, “Search me, try me, and lead me in your good plans.”
Unless God builds your home, it’s meaningless. Is the heartbeat of your home, “As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord?”
If the one thing in life that gives you confidence vanished, is your response still worship? As Christians our confidence is in the ONE who has done everything to bring victory.
God in His kindness confronts our sin, so that we can confess it and He can cleanse it. No one is too far gone for God to create a clean heart.
There is no such thing as a Christian that does not belong in a local church. If we love God, we will live that love out in a gathering of believers. Your church family matters and Psalm 100 is a powerful reminder of why we gather.
Life is short. Are you focused on things that matter? Are you living for eternity? Psalm 90 shows it’s wise to live with the end in mind.
The King of Glory came to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. Do you believe in Jesus as your creator, savior, and victor?
1000 years after David pens Psalm 8, Jesus quotes the same words as He journeys toward the cross. Jesus shows us a powerful truth - God’s strength is made big in human weakness.
Whether you walk through green pastures or death’s valley, can you say, “Jesus is my Good Shepherd and in Him I have everything I will ever need?”
The human soul can only be fully satisfied in a relationship with God through Jesus. In Jesus you find the path of life. In Jesus there is joy and pleasure for eternity.
When our understanding of who we are before God is secure, even fear can be put it it's proper place.
There are only two paths to choose. It’s either the good life or the path to ruin. Are you pursuing the good life rooted in God’s Word or are you pursuing life on your own?
What’s the circumstance or situation you need to pray about? When we pray according to God’s will, we’re not just looking for specific answers, we’re looking for JESUS.
When we experience the one true God we must respond in an undivided response of love. A response of worship from our heart, soul, mind, and strength.
Worshiping with our faith family is one of the highest privileges we have each week. Together we passionately respond to who God is and what He’s done.
Worship isn’t just what you do on Sundays. It’s an everyday response. God desires all of you for your entire life.
What are you worshiping? Are you worshiping the one true God? What’s your response to glory and grace of God in your life?
What’s your response when life isn’t going well – when life seems like a wasteland? You can take matters into your own hands or simply trust God in the season of difficulty and waiting.
The miracle of Christmas is life changing. Jesus showed up so that we could be redeemed and in a right relationship with God.
When God changes and redeems hearts, generosity is the natural overflow of the Gospel in our lives.
Making the most of the time God has given us starts with a perspective that needs to change in our hearts.
No matter what we face in life, we praise God with all our heart because we know who He is and what He is doing for us in Jesus.
No one is too far gone for our gracious God. Because God loves us, He confronts our sin so that we confess it and He can cleanse it.
Life can feel hopeless at times, but God is good and cares. He provides for His people through the pain and offers hope.
Rahab’s faith was simple; God’s grace transformed her from the inside out. The same is true of you. God’s grace changes everything about you, especially the way you live your life.
Like Jacob we often find ourselves choosing our own way over God’s way. But not even our mistakes can mess up God’s ultimate purpose and plan.
Have you questioned why Jesus has two genealogies that are different? Is it a contradiction? Every Christian needs a confident assurance that there are no contradictions in God's Word.
God’s plan to bless the nations is the Gospel working through you. You are blessed to be a blessing.
The genealogy of Jesus isn’t boring! It shows us the power of the Gospel. God always chooses broken people to accomplish HIS perfect plan and purpose.
Our pastoral team answer multiple tough questions and remind us that we all face tough questions and situations in life. God is not afraid of our questions and wants to hear from you. He promises to instruct you, teach you, and counsel you.
Forgiving people who have hurt you is difficult. You can extend forgiveness because God forgave you first.
The Bible may seem silent on mental health issues, but it actually speaks volumes through Christ when it comes to our suffering. God is there when we suffer because He suffers first. He suffers for and with us. And He is close to the broken hearted.
Can a Christian drink alcohol? This is an age-old question and the Bible gives clear guidance for a mature, wise, and truthful response.
The Bible is a true story about God’s love for you through His son, Jesus. How do we know this story is reliable and trustworthy? We can trust the Bible based on eyewitness accounts, historical discovery, chronology, and prophecy fulfillment.
Jesus saves us not because of the good things we do, but because of what He fulfilled. Jesus + Nothing = Everything
When it comes to making decisions in life and knowing God’s will, we all want to “get it right.” Scripture shows us to trust, obey, and live out wise choices that please Him.
The Fear of God is about awe, reverence, and praise. It changes the direction of your life to flee sin and pursue obedience.
Lord, open my eyes to see. Anything is possible for those who place their faith in Jesus.
Faithful pastors lead God’s flock by demonstrating the power of the Gospel in the face of opposition. Faithful flocks respond to loving leadership by following with trust and humility.
Pain and suffering are a reality in this world. Christians who resolve to suffer well understand that God grows their faith more in the valley rather than the mountain peak.
The end of all things is at hand. Jesus is risen. He is reigning and we are to live in these last days with Gospel urgency.
Christians are called to live honorable and distinct lives so people ask about the reason for the transformational joy and hope that changes everything.
Husbands, have you considered your legacy? When husbands and wives follow God’s good design for marriage their oneness shows off the beauty of the Gospel and makes Jesus famous.
When husbands and wives follow God’s good design for marriage their oneness shows off the beauty of the Gospel and makes Jesus famous.
Christians are to willingly submit, serve, and suffer, even in the face of injustice, because this shows off the beauty of the Gospel.
Christians are being built together in a Gospel community, on Jesus, for His presence and His worship.
The Gospel doesn’t just call us to action as individuals, but to certain actions as a local church. Our Christian identity shapes the way we live together in community.
The Gospel calls us to action; this is enabled by what God has already done in our lives.
Living out grace under the pressure of life can be difficult. Peter’s first letter encourages us to secure in our Christian identity, learn how to suffer well, and focus on future glory.
Hope is a big deal. A lack of hope will destroy you, but hope in Jesus Christ brings life to you and those around you. People will ask about the hope you have.
As a disciple, God is growing in us the essentials: faith, hope, and love. When it comes to faith we have to remember, the object of our faith is more important than the size of our faith.
The more we grow in our awareness of God’s Holy Character and the awareness of our sinful desires, the more we grow in our relationship with God.
Choose wisely because our choices and actions not only have consequences in the present, but also in the future. We will always reap what we sow.
Israel has gone past the point of no return and the consequences will be devastating. God reminds His people when their unfaithfulness began. We too, must go back to where our unfaithfulness began, confess, and ask God for the help that only He can provide.
God desires us to know Him in a deep and personal way. He desires our heart more than religious traditions.
The Christian life is about growing in our love for God and hating the sin in our life. “Be killing sin, or sin will be killing you.”
In a powerful turn of events, Hosea and his wife Gomer show us that God’s grace rescues, redeems, and restores.
The unfaithfulness of Gomer was found in her pursuit of other lovers. That’s us too. We wander towards things that compete with God for the affections of our heart.
God gives us a powerful view of His love through a surprising husband-and-wife relationship. God’s love is intimate and relentless.
We desire God and His will for our life and church above all else. It’s time to pray and expect change in us as individuals, as a church, and in our community.
God uses the obedience of ordinary and seemingly insignificant people to change the world.
God is writing an amazing story in your life. You were blind. You met Jesus. Now you can see. Share that story.
Satan has been defeated, but it doesn’t make him any less determined to destroy you. You can overcome by the blood of the lamb, the power of testimony, and loving not your life unto death.
One of the most well-known Bible stories is “Daniel in the Den of Lions.” Did you ever wonder how Daniel had so much courage in the midst of this difficult situation? His courage was cultivated throughout his life and the key is found in Daniel’s habit of prayer.
The miracle of the moment was the Word made flesh after hundreds of years of silence and waiting. Jesus showed up and entered the darkness to bring light and hope for all.
Success, money, or prosperity will never meet our deepest needs. Jesus calls us to rely on His resources rather than our own and when we don’t we become lukewarm Christians.
Complacency in our lives and churches means we have gotten over the Gospel and stopped relying on the power of the Holy Spirit. We need to wake up and repent. Jesus died to bring the dead to life.
As followers of Jesus let’s endure in love and faith, rid our lives of the Jezebels that lead us astray, and search our hearts for unrepentant sin.
Many times Christians are faithful and contend for the Gospel in the face of adversity, but compromise to the slow, steady, incremental seduction of this world.
The follower of Jesus can live faithful and fearless because Jesus is bigger than death. Do you trust in the finished work of Jesus?
It’s possible to trudge through the Christian life without much joy, believing the right things and doing the right things. This is a lackluster faith and Jesus is calling us to so much more.
The local church must consider what we can do together to bring about positive outcomes in society and in politics. That means talking about the things Kingdom Citizens should be concerned with and what the Bible says about them.
The world of politics can be chaotic and confusing, leaving us wondering what to do. Kingdom Citizens fearlessly and humbly engage in earthly politics as ambassadors on the greatest mission ever from the greatest King ever.
We are all devoted to something or someone. The question for us as Christians is, “Do we have an awe-filled devotion to Jesus?” Acts 2 shows us what a devoted, spirit-filled church looks like.
Serving others is simply the way of consolidating all the Bible's "one another" passages. Our circumstances don't determine whether we serve. Jesus said, "Whoever wants to be great must be a servant."
Relationships get messy when you sin against someone. Sin doesn’t just separate you from God, it separates and builds walls in your relationships. The way forward is through confession, genuine repentance, and asking for forgiveness.
A commitment to forgive means that you are making a conscious choice to absorb the cost and cancel someone’s debt against you. You can do this because at the cross Jesus canceled your insurmountable debt.
There are small things that Satan uses to cause a BIG mess in our relationships. We must guard ourselves against these little foxes that harm our relationships and prevent us from living out God’s plan for our relationships.
Every day you are either pursuing your agenda for the relationships around you, or God’s agenda. God has a good plan for your relationships.
Relationships are often times messy, but God calls us to be in community with one another because God Himself is a community.
You can listen, have good intentions and feel inspired to change, but if there is no application of God’s Word it is pointless. A transformed life starts with a transformed heart.
There are only two paths in life. One leads to an abundant life in Jesus. The other leads to death and destruction. Which path are you on?
Matthew 7:7-11 is not a treatise, a manual, or a how-to on prayer. It is much too sublime for that. We reduce it to its functioning parts at our peril, for in doing that we lose the heart of the Father who is at the center of Ask Seek Knock.
“Judge not” is one of the most misquoted statements Jesus made. In this famous passage He teaches us to respond to the failures and sin in other people’s lives in a gentle and caring way.
Fear and anxiety mark all of us at some level. We can’t just ignore it. Jesus teaches us that we have to replace anxiety with trust in your heavenly Father.
What we see and what we love determines the direction of our life. Jesus teaches we should use our time, talents, and treasures like a wise investor with a heavenly portfolio in mind.
Prayer should start in the presence of God’s Glory as you focus on His nature and character. Jesus teaches how we should pray and he gives us priorities for our prayer life.
A heart transformed by the Gospel does the right thing for the right reason to give glory to God.
Join us as we honor and celebrate the strength, guidance, and love of fathers and father figures in our lives.
We can show radical love over retaliation and resentment and to those who are difficult because when we were enemies of God, He loved us first!
God has called us to be truthful and trustworthy ambassadors of His kingdom. When we are dishonest and use our words for selfish reasons, we steal God’s glory.
God designed marriage to be a lifelong supernatural covenant, between one man and one woman, that reflects the unconditional love of the gospel. Adultery, lust, and divorce ruin this design.
Moms have a big impact and pass their faith to the next generation. Often times this is with practical advice that points to the heart. King Lemuel’s mom did just that by powerfully praying for her son and teaching him to use his strength and position to serve others.
The very first sermon pastor Gary preached in 1964 was titled, “Where There Is No Vision.” 60 years later, on his retirement Sunday, he reminds us of the significance of the vision God has for our lives.
As a Christian, you are a preserving influence. The question isn't are you going to be salt and light, but rather what what kind of salt and light are you producing as an influence in the world?
What is shaping your Character? Is it the world’s Kingdom or God’s Kingdom? The beatitudes are not a list of ways to be happy, but the things that God is doing in us as he remodels our hearts to become like His son Jesus.
What is shaping your Character? Is it the world’s Kingdom or God’s Kingdom? The beatitudes are not a list of ways to be happy, but the things that God is doing in us as he remodels our hearts to become like His son Jesus.
Because He lives, death is defeated and sin is paid for. You can walk in newness of life with meaning and purpose.
The tongue has the power of life and death! We need someone to do for us, what we cannot do for ourselves. Only God can tame the tongue and that starts with a personal relationship with Him.
God never forgot His people, He saw every moment of their waiting. The fully devoted cling to the promise that God sees them in their waiting.
This is the Good News of Malachi and the whole Old Testament: You cannot do it. Only the Messiah can.
God was calling His people to be fully devoted by bringing their first and best. God did not need their money but longed for the heart of His people. Where your treasure is, your heart is.
Malachi responds to the people of Israel questioning God’s justice by pointing them to the future Messiah. Jesus came to seek and save the lost and the way to experience his fire as refining and not consuming is to place your faith and hope and trust in Him.
Our love for God should drastically affect the relationships in our life. When our relationship with God is broken, the relationships around us will be broken.
God sends Malachi to share one thing with His people – “Return to me.” Before correcting us, God loves us because He chose us. His unconditional love should motivate us in all that we do.
In this powerful service we finished our Vision 2024 series with prayer and communion! If Jesus, needed to pray, what does that suggest about the priority of prayer in our lives?
Our pastoral team shares their passion and vision for the future and challenge us to ask ourselves, “What if I take the next step of obedience God is calling me to take?”
What do you love? What are the areas of your life where the world has influence? One thing that we all must do as we experience a life transforming relationship with Jesus is resist the temptations of the world.
What we need in 2024 is less of us and more of Jesus! What we need in 2024 is serving not in our strength, but in the power of the Holy Spirit. What we need in 2024 is every family, every person proclaiming Jesus Christ as Lord for our neighbors and the nations!
