Today’s tale is called Fire. I was in Australia at the time of the terrible bushfires of late 2019 and early 2020. This story tries to conjure up that sense of absolute environmental destruction. I’ve worked for many years in mental health services and for some reason it seemed to me that having a mentally ill character involved in the tale, would help to show how desperately vulnerable human beings are.
