From the women led parlours of France to the Suffragette and #MeToo movement, feminism has established itself as a structural development advocating for equality of all genders. The focus on uplifting women has been often misconstrued by various factions with critics arguing that the rise of pseudo-feminism is detrimental to all efforts that demand equality. How has pseudo-feminism warped our understanding of feminism? Is modern feminism truly intersectional? What are some disparities between women’s rights movements in the developing vs the developed world?
