Red Bull KTM factory MX2 athlete Liam Everts has had one heck of a year. So far he’s racked up a few wins and many podiums and up until this past weekend was a contender for the 2023 MX2 title.

Coming into the MXGP Of Italy in Maggiora Park Everts had one goal in mind. Do good enough to push the points battle to the final round by keeping the points gap under 60 points (new points rule for qualifying). In moto 1 Everts was successful, placing 4th just one position behind points leader Andrea Adamo. At this point all it would take for Adamo to wrap up the title early was disaster for Everts… WHich is exactly what happened.
