As I mentioned in my last podcast, I like Facebook. It gives me an opportunity to dialogue with people I don’t know personally, and it allows me to get a sense of folks’ perspectives on important issues of the day.

Recently, a few of my more progressive and liberal Facebook friends have been somewhat agitated over the “Straight Pride Movement” and the parades and marches and rallies members of the movement are having across our country.

Frankly, I’m a little baffled by the movement myself. Apparently, the Straight Pride Movement was formed as a backlash against the LGBT Pride Movement. I guess the Straight Pride people feel sort of left out and are agitated themselves that they’re not getting the respect and equality they feel they deserve.
