In your head there is always a battle that in many cases leads to inaction which then leads to falling behind and failure. To settle or take one more action whatever that action might be. It is important to always be taking the side, no matter the circumstances, that is most likely to lead you to your vision.

Its more than just you. Its the people that watch you and see you, even if you think no one does, that may influence them to take the same extra action(s). 

Compound that by a whole company, a whole town, city, the country. Where would we be if that was the case?
