The difficulties churches have in developing a mininstry to men and some of the rewards from working in men's ministry. Men's Ministry is one of the hardest mininstries a church can undertake but yet when you watch men begin to "Get It," if is one of the most rewarding. I recently read in Nehemiah when I was struck with a scripture I have read many times and have even written and spoken from this text in the past. But for some reason, I had forgotten until I recently read the text. The text comes from Nehemiah 4:14, and it impacted me many years ago when I attended a men’s conference. It helped me understand my responsibility as a man of God and especially to my family.

Every year churches all across America forfeit Father's Day. What a great opportunity to target not just our Fathers but all men connected with our local body of Believers. In this yearly talk about not forfeiting Father's Day, I share some thoughts on how a church can target and engage the men of the church. It is a time that men would expect a church to do so - so why not do it. If your church has not been using this day as a day to engage your men, I pray this Father's Day you will and NOT FORFEIT FATHER'S DAY.

The past two years have been tough on people as the world dealt with the Coronavirus pandemic. Regardless of what you may think about how the world reacted to the virus, the pandemic has resulted in people experiencing anxiety and depression being at an all-time high. Mike is not the man he has always been. Today he's a servant of God, a husband, and a father. But before he gave his life fully to Christ, like so many other men, he was living life for himself. He is not the man who’s going to talk about perfection or how to walk with God without pain – because that’s never been his experience. He has lain in dark pits of depression, struggled with sin and made mistakes that led him away from God instead of closer to Him. It wasn’t until he was broken beyond his own potential redemption, after his son nearly died in 2009, that he found himself desperate for God and willing to do whatever it took to draw closer to him.
