The 30th Index of Economic Freedom, created by the Wall Street Journal and the Heritage Foundation, has been released, and the results are not encouraging. The 2024 Index found that economic freedom has been declining around the world for three consecutive years. Key ingredients of economic freedom are personal choice, voluntary exchange, freedom to compete in markets, and protection of person and property.
