Queen Elizabeth II deserves a salute (or more properly a bow or curtsy) as the Platinum Jubilee celebration of her 70th year on the throne of Great Britain concludes. I’m not going to get into the argument of the need or uselessness of a monarchy in the 21st century but I do think the 96-year-old Elizabeth deserves applause for her discipline, devotion and work ethic.
