One false teaching of many religions is “what the religion can do for the people”. Some people might hope that their religion could give them superior wisdom…or monetary gain. Even as a Christian, it can be really easy to focus on your own problems and how God can help you…instead of putting aside your own desires and focusing on learning about who God is.
