Respect and honor towards people is important and good. However know exactly where the line is and don’t cross it.
Acts 10:25-26 NKJV
As Peter was coming in, Cornelius met him and fell down at his feet and worshiped him. [26] But Peter lifted him up, saying, "Stand up; I myself am also a man."
Prayer: Father in the name of Jesus Christ help me that I may know where the line is that ought not to be crossed in Jesus name.

Fear the law
Recognize those in authority
Give honor where it is due
