There is a balance to be sought in dialogue between oneself and the other when engaging in the practice of dialogue. Technically a dialogue between two adherent in one faith community would be called ‘intra-religious.’ However, in Unitarian Universalism, where we aspire to be covenantal without a prescripted credo, we are usually engaging in an inter-religious dialogue anytime we converse with each other.
