Jason discusses his desire to serve at a young age and follow in his brother's footsteps as a firefighter.  He spent time in the U.S. Air Force and was deployed to Saudi Arabia.  He discusses the humility needed to deflect the 'hero' label and that sometimes heroism is simply praying with a family who suffered a loss of some kind.  In addition to being a Captain in the Houston Fire Dept., he is a Major League Baseball Scout for the Tampa Bay Rays and volunteers as a High School baseball coach for the largest Homeschool Baseball Academy in the Houston area.
