What does "SISU" mean?

You might have thought we just misspelled "sushi" :)

In today's episode we sit down with Jamie Reynolds - Executive Director of SISU: a non-profit integrated learning environment where children from 6 weeks to 6 years with special needs learn and interact alongside their typically developing peers.

We talk about what "SISU" means, the 13+ counties it serves in Georgia and how they're one of the only facilities/programs/schools providing resources for children and parents in the U.S.

Jamie tells us her own story of being a mother of 5, losing a child and how that paved the way to her role today.

Every single day lives are changed at this school, incredible stories are happening - whether it's a child with special needs conquering a milestone previously believed to be improbable or a typically developing child using adaptive thinking to communicate with a nonverbal autistic child.
