Question: Does making an effort always involve nervous tension and emotional upheaval, or can this be done in a calm state?

Answer: No, it is impossible to do anything in a calm state because all that is required of us is to move forward toward the Creator. In this advancement, we gather ourselves, our feelings, our sensations. Therefore, it always involves the tension of our efforts.

Question: So, striving for inner peace means going in the wrong direction?

Answer: No, if the striving for inner peace is connected with the upper, then it is correct. But if it is detached from connection with the upper, then it is a wrong aspiration. Peace can only be achieved when we are included in an upper degree.
