Question: As we progress, why, instead of the expected strengthening and revealing of spiritual desire, do new facets of material desires emerge?

Answer: It is to expand the desire within you and for your spiritual striving to be even more complete and extensive. This way you will later be able to receive fulfillment.

In ordinary desires, we cannot sense spiritual fulfillment, taste it, or open ourselves to even greater spiritual enjoyment. This only happens when the Creator works with us. Therefore, when we reveal ourselves, we should only think about bestowal.
