Today, I want to share with you 3 common body fat tests & what they entail:
In Body Scan = “Bioelectrical” field assessment
Hydrostatic Test = “Underwater” body fat assessment
DEXA = “Dual-Energy X-ray Absorptiometry”
Not all body fat tests are created equal; however, I do believe that if you choose one to go with, then STICK with that one
.
When repeating a test like this, it’s super important to to literally REPLICATE the testing protocol as exact as possible
.
Some considerations for REPLICATION to emphasize are:
Time of day
With/without clothing (i.e. swimming suit)
Limit eating 3 hours prior to testing
Working out prior or after testing
Etc.
