Have you ever imagined what it’s actually like living in a third world country? What happens when you are plucked and moved 8000 miles away as a kid? What about if you throw in skipping 2 grades, not knowing the native language, and watching as the country erupts into chaos as it reacts to an assassination. Diving into stories from of what our first year in a new country brought, to discussing the fear that resulted in hiding our own ethnicity, mental health, & coming full circle from experiencing the chaos that erupted when a third worlds country’s female leader was assassinated to the deeper message behind having minority woman representation in the white house in 2020, and what that means for little girls everywhere.
