Until 9/11 Jonestown Massacre was the largest loss of life in a single act on American civilians.  The man at the centre of this Massacre was Jim Jones who professed to be a messiah and led more than 900 people to their deaths in what Jones called a "Revolutionary Suicide."  This is a chilling tale of people of faith following what they believed was a pathway to a Utopian society.  Instead they became the puppets of a man on a journey of power and self gratification.
