According to the merriam-webster English dictionary, Humility… come from the Latin word humilis, meaning "low."

It is the freedom from pride or arrogance : the quality or state of being humble, and the feeling or attitude that you have no special importance that makes you better than others.

Simply put, it is the lack of pride that humbles a person to expect and accept all possible outcomes in a world where we can only do the best we could...with many factors, we cannot control. It is the human quality that brings out our humanity.
