List of things to be aware of and remove if you're new and rewriting:
Repetitious dialogue or info.
Things ending in "ing".
Teasing info like "begins to" and "starts to".
No wardrobe unless it's pertinent to the story.
Too much detail in scene descriptions.
Things that don't advance the story and don't add to new character info.
