This is week two of our dive into the wonders of Camrose, AB!

In this episode, Keaton sat down with our friend Tyler Weenink. Keaton met Tyler in 2018 when they came to Augustana and Cale has been friends with him since 2020. Tyler has taught the both of us plenty of lessons in the few years we have known him, on and off the court. As a member of the Augustana Vikings MBB team, Tyler is coming into his own in that regard as well!
A little bit about Ty:
- Currently in year 4/5 of a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a double minor in Chemistry & Physical Education
- 2018-Present Member of the Augustana Men's Basketball Team (Camrose, AB)
- 2018 Highest GPA award MBB
- 2018/19 ACAC Bronze Medalist with the Augustana Vikings
- 2018-Present CCAA Academic All-Canadian (3x)
- Drives a Chevy Cobalt SS, it's a love hate relationship

Tyler is from Rimbey, AB which is on the map somewhere, we promise. Growing up in such a close-knit community Tyler credits his family & his faith for instilling in him the values he holds dear. Tyler spoke about the influences that religion & basketball had on him growing up. He also spoke on the struggles the COVID-19 pandemic had on him during the 2020/21 year. Hopefully this episode provided YOU, the listener with a new perspective!

Cale, Evan and I realized not all of our philosophy content is functional or even interesting to everyone at every point in their lives. So we decided to take a different approach outside of our main series! The goal is to interview real people who have influenced us and have an interest in just having a conversation. We ask them straight up "What makes you happy" and see what happens! So hopefully you enjoy!
