God's plan is on target and even good for us, but how can you find God's plan? On Sunday, the sermon is Discovering the Plan of God. That is a big topic. GBC is a church with an address and will soon be a church without one. When we sell the property the church will follow God's lead into the unknown. Discovering God's plan is very real.
Wouldn't it be something if God could talk? I mean, the Creator of the universe, speaking to me would be amazing. That is what God intended. He created communication and added that benefit to human design. There are skeptics who find it hard to imagine that God could be active in that way today and lean more toward the printed Bible as the only form of divine communication available. A warning in Hebrews 4:7 says, "Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts." There are consequences to not listening and responding to what God has to say. So, on Sunday we are Discovering the Voice of God in our GBC Discovery series.

What is the most important thing about a person? Could it be where they were born? Or who their family is? Or what music they like or car they drive? The knowledge of God and their relationship with him is the most important. On Sunday, the sermon Discovering More of God opens the narrow gate for those who want more of him.
Join GBC for a class where we read and discuss Don Richardson's classic book Eternity in Their Hearts. Richardson, author of the bestselling book Peace Child, has studied cultures throughout the world and found startling evidence of belief in the one true God within hundreds of them. In Eternity in Their Hearts, Richardson gives fascinating, real-life examples of ways people groups have exhibited terms and concepts in their hiastories that have prepared them for the gospel. Read how Pachacuti, the Inca king who founded Machu Picchu, the majestic fortress in Peru, accomplished something far more significant than merely building fortresses, temples, or monuments. He sought, reached out, and found a God far greater than any popular "god" of his own culture. And there have been others throughout the world, like him, who lived to receive the blessing of the gospel.Get ready to be amazed at these intriguing examples of how God uses redemptive analogies to bring all men to Himself, bearing out the truth from Ecclesiastes that God "has also set eternity in the hearts of men" (3:11).
What do elections mean for Christians? Some are immersed in the process, others ignore it hoping it will go away. God has placed people in their time and place for his purposes. As his children we have a permanent citizenship in heaven but a responsibility to bring God's will to earth and our earthly citizenship. Our extraordinary citizenship can make us better citizens today. Elections matter and our participation is vital. We will look at that on Sunday in the message Extraordinary Citizens.

What is going on? Should a Christian worldview include the cosmic realm as well as the material? How can a biblical perspective on the movements of people and governments affect a person's vote and participation? On Sunday, we will look at Governments, Angels, Demons, and God's People.
America is not perfect, but it is remarkable. Many forces clash and push for primacy. The powers fighting for people have existed for centuries, and battles have been fought, some won and some lost. But still, after so much turmoil and continued diligence, this is one nation under God. On Sunday at GBC, in the series God, Governments, and Grace we will discover what God has done.
From corporate spies to 007, there are secret agents gathering intel. God has secret agents, too. He has spiritual beings, watchers, who gather information, and sometimes that intel is passed along to protect his people. That is what we find in 2 Kings 6 with the story of Elisha and the Arameans. God is neither surprised nor outgunned when it comes to governments.
There is no higher authority than God's, but there are those who oppose him. Scripture provides insights into Confronting Evil Powers

Do we trust our government officials to make the right decisions? What about our voting neighbors? Or ourselves? There are limits to the good within people. Selfish desires, ambition, fears, and twisted thinking can take things off track quickly. The Lord requires his people to trust him and not their own understanding. Why? He wants us to think and act properly, but without that foundational trust we tend to listen to other voices, the one in our heads, the one telling us to ignore what God says and go the way of the world. We must be careful. On Sunday, we continue the God, Governments, and Grace series with Trust, but Verify.
Join us as we finish reading and discussing the book "Deeper Experiences of Famous Christians" by James Gilchrist LawsonWhat do great Christians have in common? What motivates and empowers some believers to lead extraordinary lives of service, sacrifice, and devotion? James Gilchrist Lawson (1874-1946) studied many such spiritual giants, looking for a common thread in their experience. He found that all of them had been nominal Christians until the Holy Spirit transformed their lives. They called this experience "full consecration," "entire sanctification," "the baptism of the Holy Spirit," and so on. This book describes what Lawson learned as he studied the deeper spiritual experiences of these Christian leaders.
Clash of the Governments is a biblical look at the war of good and evil, God's Kingdom, and the gods of the nations. It will feature the familiar and pull back the curtain for another view. There is much to learn here. So much to be grateful for.

There are emotional responses, anxious feelings, and real concerns about those in government. The presidential elections fuel an enormous amount of contentious talk. How are we, as God's children, to take all of this? Sunday, we look at revealing biblical revelation about governments. God is aware of what is going on, and he knows what we need. We will investigate more in Governments in the Heavens and On Earth.

Political advertising, conversations, and debates will be everywhere during this political season. People pick their sides, their favorites, and their frustrations and assume the parties and people they denigrate or cheer for are the beginning and the end. Not so. Never has been and never will be. Much more is going on behind the scenes. Sunday at GBC, we explore Governmental Power Essentials.

In a time of government highlights and political positioning, there comes a reminder from on high that all that noise is laughed at. The powers of one government consider themselves untouchable and act accordingly, but the King of kings finds them falling short. We focus on a new series beginning on Sunday: God, Governments, and Grace. This week, the message is First Order.

Coke or Pepsi? Ford or GM? Were the floor exercises in gymnastics at the Olympics scoring properly? There are so many things to evaluate and varied ways to do it. How is the Christian life to be measured? What is a good way to evaluate a church? A common approach is to determine God's favor based on popularity or agreement with a particular set of manmade rules. The Apostle Paul presents the cross of Christ and transformation as key. On Sunday, we examine Galatians 6:11-18 for more insights into these things.

God offers a way of life like no other. His offer of grace and forgiveness in Christ sets people free to pursue this new life. The new life is not without work. The work flows from the love of God through the Holy Spirit and is available in God's people. There is a harvest of blessings for living God's way. But, sadly, not everyone wants to live God's way. God will deal with those who go another way. But for those who do not give up and live in the new life, there is so much more for them. Sunday at GBC we discover How You Can Enjoy a Harvest of Blessings.
What does the coming of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost in Acts 2 have to do with the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11? What does it matter to our lives today?
How do you know when the Christian life you are living is the one Christ had in mind for you? There are spiritual marks to identify being on track. Galatians provides some Marks of Spiritual Living and we will look into them on Sunday at GBC.

In the mind of the alcoholic or addict, they are thinking clearly, and the decisions they are making on the job, driving, or with their family are perfectly acceptable. The sober, clearheaded folks who disagree with them will have a defensive often loud display on their hands. People, even well-meaning Christians, can hold on to thinking and behaviors that are harmful, unproductive, and dangerous but view them as no problem. Galatians 5 calls that sinful. It shows up in the person the Holy Spirit is not leading. When the Holy Spirit guides an entirely new way of thinking and living emerges, it is called the fruit of the Spirit. Sunday, we will look into When the Holy Spirit Guides.
There is a battle within each Christian. Breaking old ways of thinking and behaviors, drives and dreams, and becoming a light in the darkness. God's love includes that change in us, a change he has made possible through Jesus and his work and the leading and empowering of the Holy Spirit. For the change to take place, we must let the Holy Spirit guide us. Sunday at GBC that will be the focus.

Christ has made something impossible possible. Sometimes, people think they can accomplish the impossible without him. That's impossible. The Apostle Paul addresses the problem and takes us back to Christ in Galatians 5:1-15. Our study on Sunday, Stay Free and Run Well digs into that passage.

Take away your freedom to choose what you do today and you feel it. What about a week a year or a lifetime of slavery? In Galatians 4:21-31, Paul addresses spiritual slavery and freedom. It was important two thousand years ago and is still valid today. On Sunday at GBC we look at Freed to Live by Faith.
It is noteworthy to be a father and have children. God sees it that way, too. The fatherhood of God and the blessing for those who believe in Jesus as God's children is the family of God. Paul in Galatians 4:1-7 addresses these ideas. The realities are cosmic and personal. Sunday, June 16, we will look into these things.

The blessings of God are unequaled, but they are not always what people imagine. Blessings of life and life beyond this life can be set aside for a bit of pleasure, a better job, a new relationship, cash, or some accomplishment. God's blessings bring people into a right relationship with him and empower them for living life fully. How to Experience God's Blessings is the sermon for Sunday.

Faith to Face Relationship with God is on Sunday, May 12. This sermon is part of the Unequivocal series on the Book of Galatians.
Life and death are serious concerns, and eternal life and death are even more critical. In the letter to the Galatians, Paul is making a case for the pure Good News without the additions of legalists. He explains that his source is Jesus himself, and what he presents the other church leaders affirm as the truth. On Sunday, we will look at the Universal Good News from Galatians 1:15-2:10.
We pay attention when a special letter arrives from a very important person. If a letter has a stamp of authority on it, our interest is piqued, and maybe there is some anxiety. The Apostle Paul wrote a letter to the Christians in Galatia. It had the highest authority. "This letter is from Paul, an apostle. I was not appointed by any group of people or any human authority, but by Jesus Christ himself and by God the Father, who raised Jesus from the dead." The Sunday sermon at GBC, Inspired Information, unpacks this powerful introduction to the letter to the Galatians.
God loved people so much that he sent his son. Who he is and what he did are crucial for people to know and experience life as God designed it. However, having truth is not acceptable for some, so they bend, add, and adjust the Good News to fit their opinions or agendas. Paul confronts, defends, explains, and promotes the Good News in Galatians. We begin our study in Unequivocal.
The glory of the resurrection cost Jesus suffering and death. He provides hope for a better life with truth, love, and everlasting life. Sometimes, the truth of Jesus' resurrection is sandwiched between dressing up, Easter dinner, and an Easter egg hunt. There is no event in history that is more relevant and remarkable than the resurrection. The celebrations will go on around the world among God's people this Resurrection Sunday! And at GBC we will look into The Remarkable Resurrection of Jesus
The earthquake shook so hard that rocks were split, and graves opened. Jesus died on a Roman cross with a soldier observing who knew death and dying well and said, "This surely was the Son of God." He saw something remarkable in Jesus in the few hours he was on the cross that he had not seen before. And what he saw was a fraction of what was unfolding. On Sunday, March 24, The Force of the Crucifixion of Jesus.
Jesus is coming back. When will the end be? During the last days before his death, Jesus had some things to say about future events. We will see what he had to say in Mark 13 on Sunday at GBC.
Jesus promised he would send the Holy Spirit after he left. The time for the crucifixion was soon, and Jesus continued to teach his friends about what was to come. He knew he would return after death to teach some more but then he would ascend to heaven and the Holy Spirit would be sent to do some incredible things among his people. We will look at Memo on the New Life on Sunday.
Dying seems like a strange way to live. Why does Jesus say his people should die to live? In this Memo from the Messiah, we will investigate Living to Die.
Can we be stuck, stubborn, and stupid when it comes to our understanding of God and the world? Jesus addresses that. In Sharpening Scriptural Skills, we will see what Jesus has to say.
Jesus, the Son of God, came from heaven to earth to reveal the Kingdom of God, make way for those who believe in him access to the Father, and provide instructions for life. He has much to say, and fortunately for us, notes were made and books written. Join us on Sunday for Memos from the Messiah.
There are times when we must adjust how we engage in certain meetings. So, how will you respond when meeting Jesus? You will meet him one day, but what if, in this lifetime, you have an opportunity to meet him? How will you act? What will you do? Just being prepared is a good idea, and that is the reason for Expectation on Sunday.
Jesus told his friends he would be with them until the end of the age. He would not abandon them. When Jesus left earth for heaven, his friends were told by the angels that Jesus would return from heaven in the same way, referring to his coming at the end of days. So, will Jesus be with them, or is he staying in heaven until the end of days? Let's look into this on Sunday in Jesus the Promise Keeper.
Death is difficult; it is the end of one thing and the beginning of another. But what sort of thing is it? What is beyond the veil? Theories and tales abound but maybe some clarity could be gained by getting information from someone who knows heaven and earth. Sunday, January 21, at Grace Bible Church of Pryor the sermon is Jesus, the Death Buster.
Jesus said he would reveal himself and that he would not forsake his people. He manifested himself dramatically after the resurrection. He is still. There are many ways he communicates and as his followers, it is to our advantage to know how to interpret divine manifestations. In our Manifestations of the Messiah series this Sunday, we will look at Keys to Discerning Divine Manifestations.
Jesus rose from the dead and appeared to many including 500 at one time. The resurrected Jesus appeared to Paul and later to John and for many Christians today that was it. Jesus made the rounds, went to heaven, and operated remotely through agents on Earth. He is coming back to take over and set up a new heaven and new earth but that is not yet. Contrary to the idea Jesus is showing up is the evidence that he is. He said he would and he does. So how are we to handle the Manifestations of the Messiah? On Sunday we begin the new series with "I Will Reveal Myself." The Lord is not limited, nor is he in hiding, he is active and involved.
The Word was made flesh and dwelt among us. What a concept! Spoken or written word? John says the Word was in the beginning. There must be more to this. We will conclude our Mysteries of the Messiah series with Mysteries of the Word.
The Mysteries of the Heavens digs into the coming of the Messiah and the many ways God communicated this incredible event.
The entrance of Jesus into history was a war cry, and the battle leveled up. The forces of darkness and light would meet and the authority of the Lord would prevail. What was evident in the unseen realm was being revealed in the physical world. Each of the four Gospels tells of this epic cosmic war, but each has a different starting place. Only Matthew and Luke tell what we know as the Christmas story. This Sunday, we will be in the first chapter of Mark. The Powers of the Kingdom of God Mystery, Sunday at GBC.
The secret things of God are mysteries until they are revealed. God is wise beyond human years and experienced beyond all human beings. He knows how much to reveal at any time to accomplish his purposes. As we enter into the pre-Christmas Advent season we will read stories of the first coming of Christ and sing songs praising his birth. We are fortunate to know the rest of the story but those living in Israel in the first century did not know what we know. The most profound event was clouded in mystery. And it was cloaked in secrecy for a reason. Mysteries of the Messiah begins on Sunday, December 3rd at GBC.
A spiritual superpower is available to God's people. It is a state of being that comes with being mature in Christ, filled with the Spirit, understanding truth, grasping God's Kingdom, excelling at love, practicing grace, and flowing in gratitude. We will discover Transformed Thankfulness on Sunday at Grace Bible Church in Pryor, Oklahoma.
Gratitude is a tremendous asset for anyone. Moaning and complaining is a popular practice but less of an asset. As we examine Paul's story and his gratefulness, we will have a model to lay a foundation for a life of gratitude.
Thanksgiving is coming soon. Considering the positive effects and health benefits of gratitude, we are focusing on giving thanks. We Give You Thanks, Lord, is the message for this week.
If we followers of Christ, are to walk with God in this world, we need a new way of walking. This sermon takes us on that walk.
Christians struggling with big and little things, trying to break bad habits or addictions, wondering how they can better understand what God wants, and maybe being concerned that they are Christians at all are evidence of the absence or diminished presence of the Holy Spirit. What does it mean to walk by the Spirit? Sunday, at GBC we discover the wonderful reality of the Spirit-filled life.
Why would New Testament writers make such a big deal about the cross of Christ? You and the Cross of Christ in the Walking with God in the World series Sunday.
Skeptics and many church people find prayer so-so or a waste of time. Prayer may find its way into the cold-hearted when an airplane they are in loses power and dives at 30,000 feet. Others find prayer comforting and hope for the best but don't expect much. Many in church appreciate socials, worship music, and classes but find prayer uninteresting and boring. Maybe there is something about prayer that can be learned, understood, and enhanced. Sunday at GBC's Bonus Session, Prayer: What's It Good For?

What is God's plan for me? Why am I here? Questions about purpose are universal and may have been one of the first things Adam asked after hopping up in the Garden of Eden. Surely, God's purpose for me is something I am already good at and enjoy, something I desire and am able to do. If you have been exposed to Christian personality and spiritual gift inventories, you are familiar with the process of self-selecting on a scale of absolutely me to no way many statements designed to help you discover yourself. They are helpful tools. Most are similar, however, to inventories used by the general non-Christian population. Jesus talked about a narrow and wide way, the narrow being the path for God's people. So, maybe God's way and his purpose are not the same as the wide way; maybe he does things differently. Sunday at GBC, Walking Your Purpose, Part 3; Unique Appointments.

The relationship between physical people and a spiritual God is challenging. When we deal with the invisible but very real person of God, we are stretching our minds, experiences, our faith. Sunday, we Enter Dimensional Living as a message for insights and encouragement as we walk with God in the world.

You are not alone. Besides the physical people who are in your world there are people who have left their physical bodies who are with the Lord and are cheering for you. In addition there are the mostly unseen spiritual beings who are part of God's family who know you and support your walk with God. There are enemies of God, divine beings whose desire is to see God dishonored and his people destroyed, who know you. Let's discover more about dimensional living Sunday in the sermon, The Spiritual World and You.
What's right or wrong? Aren't a person's feelings or opinions sufficient to determine what is right? God may have something to say to his people about what is right. We will examine The Mystery of Moral Mountain on Sunday at Grace Bible Church.
Angels are comforting and a mystery. Sunday, our guest speaker by way of video, Michael Heiser, will share some important information on angels.
Sex was designed by God to fill the world with people and to bring couples into intimate loving relationships. Taking what God meant for good, the enemies of God would twist for their purposes, and God destroyed the corrupted world by flood. God desires to have humans in his family, and the world continues. Sex is God-designed and comes with his blessing and instructions. Misuse or abuse of his gift is damaging, limiting, and unloving. Sunday, we look at Sexuality and Primacy in the Walking with God in the World series.
3rd Sunday Bonus Session - We are completing our look at 1 John today with the 5th chapter.
Money issues influence people every day. Wall Street, big business, and wily deal makers make the news. How can God's people untangle from the ways of the world and find guidance in God's money policies? Let's look at Economy and Providence Sunday.
The world has a paradigm problem. If the climate crisis means humanity is only here for a few more years, then we should not take out 30-year mortgages. Paradigms are ways to think about things. The approach to a person's paradigm about climate change affects what they do, how they vote, and how they pray. What if the paradigm has a problem? Sunday in our Walking with God in the World, we will take a look at Climate Change and Responsibility.
Government is here but what is it good for? What are we as God's people supposed to do? Sunday, July 2nd we look at Government and God, in this Walking with God in the World series.
Something incredible happens in human life from birth to death. Surprises, growth, challenges, relationships, highs and lows, and all that over ages and stages filled with wonder. Sunday, our study of Human Development and Spirituality will help ground us and give us wings for the future.
How does a Christian walk with God in this world? What should we do? How can we deal with climate change, the economy, and views on human development? We will investigate these things in a series called Walking with God in the World. The introduction this week will focus on Rival Realms.
The conclusion of Colossians is about people who serve the Lord. Many of whose details are lost to history but not to the Lord. Jesus made a difference in their lives and he does in ours. For them he was supreme.
Confidential files and top-secret information is made available only to those who have a need to know. God has not revealed everything but he has revealed much. This secret information is often referred to as mysteries. The mystery of Christ is a secret now revealed to God's people and is ready to be shared so others can come into the family. Sunday we will examine the Majestic Mystery in our continuing study of the Book of Colossians.
Family delightful or dysfunctional is ours to live with. God designed families and has enemies who are targeting families for destruction. Family battles are personal and often kept private and spill over into schools, workplaces, churches, and the community. Does God have a plan for healthy families? He does and it is better than you may think. Family Makeover, Sunday at GBC.

What if Christ is all? From beginning to end, Christ is all. Can a church or a Christian look beyond themselves, their style, way, likes, and dislikes, and focus on the main thing, Christ is all? Sunday, at GBC more from Colossians, Christ is all.
When should a Christian begin living the Christian life in the power of the risen Christ? The response may be now but the reality is more of a here and there every now and then. Scripture presses the immediacy. Now is the Time is the message for Sunday, March 30th in our study of Colossians.
Christians celebrate Christ's death and resurrection with vigor and appreciate the hope of heaven but what about life while still on earth? As God's children, Christians are nonetheless human with all the matrix of good and bad wrapped up in them. What are God's people to do? There is guidance in Scripture. 3 New Life Initiatives is the message from the book of Colossians.
Problems between people create barriers and things get worse but there are some things we can do to make it better. Understanding problems in logic and ways of communicating can minimize misunderstandings and help relationships at home, church, and in the community. Improving Truth Filters is a way of making improvements.
The resurrection of Jesus turns things upside down. Ripping loose from the grip of the world the children of God now have a new aim, heaven. Jesus has made the power of death obsolete and cleared the way for a new way of living now and forever. Sunday, the message is Raised.
Looking for Easter Eggs is a seasonal kid activity. In this message, we are looking at Easter eggs in Scripture. Things that point us to Christ and what he has done. Join us for the message, Easter Eggs.
