America's FIRST Motorcycle Road Racing World Champion, Steve Baker. A legend of two wheels rarely heard from these days - at least in podcasts and interviews. Steve won the Formula 750 World Championship back in 1977, and was simultaneously runner up in the 500cc World Championship that year to a little known racer called Barry Sheene - perhaps you've heard of him before?

In this episode, we chat through Steve's career, what pressure he was under during 1977, his iconic showdown in Talladega with Kel Carruthers, as well as his perspective on the modern era of racing.
