This week’s message, drawn from 2 Corinthians 5:17-21, comes from the second week of lent. Last week, Pastor David Cartwright started a series exploring how Christians are called to be in the world but not part of the world. While that idea is repeated often in the Christian church today, it’s a bit of an oxymoron; how can we exist somewhere and not become a part of it? Pastor Cartwright delves into that very conundrum this week, comparing Christians to ambassadors who work in foreign lands for the good of their country. We are, in this view, ambassadors from God, here on a mission for His kingdom.
