After having our 2007 accessible minivan serviced before Dan and I made the road trip back to Iowa, we learned that our beloved Casper was questionable to make our 1,000 mile roundtrip journey. Gulp! What are we going to do? What should we do?

Dan and I talk through the challenges that come with the accessible vehicle buying process. We offer some tips and insights from our experience, such as:

• Figuring out what you need and speaking the language
• Doing your homework and consulting with someone who knows and can provide recommendations or referrals
• Going into the car shopping knowing it may take a lot of effort
• Setting realistic expectations
• Having a reasonable budget
• Listing your wants and needs
• Believing that this all will be worth your time and energy

While we are nervous about haggling and the buying process, we must have a safe, reliable van. And hope that the new van we buy is what we will discuss in a future episode 🤞
