Tom’s Key Insights and Takeaways:
- As a multifaceted entrepreneur Tom was someone who got a lot done and his success showed it
- He had a hard time accepting “boredom” and became anxious when his business was stable and thus “boring”
- When we unpacked the pattern deeper it was actually something that was reflective of his childhood patterns of performance
- The anxiousness was due to fear of “being” punished for being idle
- Unpacking this further it allowed him to realize it was creating a distortion in how he was dealing with his team and showing up as a leader
- Additionally, it allowed him to make the realization that he had a hard time imagining who he would be without this limiting pattern, really opening up the door for his own transformation
