I've been practicing centering prayer since learning about it in seminary over 15 years ago. But it wasn't until I coupled it with my morning writing practice out of sheer necessity (it was the only quietness and stillness I got before my children woke up in the morning) that I made the connection between centering prayer and divine creative downloads.

The practice gave me the ability to become a deeper listener. Daily listening to God each morning opened me up to hearing God's voice in all sorts of unexpected places. Synchronicity became common place and a beautiful creative flow seemed to come naturally.

In this episode, I'll give you some specific ways that I've benefited from centering prayer as a creative.

Take a listen! Maybe you'll hear something that will spark a desire to add centering prayer into your daily creative/prayer practice.
