How does grief change over time? In this episode we talk about what it's like to be a caregiver for a parent while embracing motherhood of young toddlers, and then again after the children are venturing into their adult lives. We explore the juxtaposition of the decline from ALS with the energy and vivaciousness of childhood. Then we fast forward 25 years to witness the grief and loss from dementia and the difference that makes in the caregiving role. The episode culminates with lessons learned through these experiences as portrayed in a legacy trilogy of children's books that will be published in November 2022.
