Hey everyone!! I hope everyone’s summer is going well! I just got back from camp mesorah on tuesday. Camp was actually incredible this summer and I had the best time ever! For 7 weeks I was able to hangout with all my friends - not even think about corona in the slightest and just have an amazing time. While in camp, i grew in my torah learning and i grew in my tefillah and avodas hashem a tremendous amount. Everyone agrees daf yomi is hard. Its not easy. And the main part of daf yomi is that you learn torah each and every single day. In camp youre with your friends and youre having a fun time and you dont always have time to learn. I fell behind in camp but i have a plan to get back on. Theres two options when you fall. You could either A lay on the floor in despair and give up or you could stand up and keep pushing through. Im choosing the second option! Im gonna keep going with daf as hard as i can and keep trying my best. It might be a little while till we resume shiur but thats ok. In the alldaf video “meet charlie” (thats me!) haha. They asked me “what would you tell anybody learning daf yomi or they have taken on any other torah learning that could help them grow in their spiritual lives, whats your message from charlie teaneck new jersey?” to which i responded “i’d tell them to keep going, even if it seems hard just pull through, if you miss a daf a perek or whatever youre doing, just mark it down and whenever youre ready just come back to it but make sure not to give up!” So thats what im going to be trying to do for the next couple of weeks. Stay strong and catch up and hopefully start up shiur again soon.
