Topic: Be An Overcomer! Weakness Is Not An Excuse....

A young man who had the gift of music came to me one day and said, he had been addicted to alcohol and was unable to come out of it. And its become part of his day to day life.

One young girl though she experienced a new life told his pastor that her eyes were her weakness, unable to come out of it. And her eyes bring forth time and again impure thoughts and acts of defeat into unholiness.

Though many are saved its the greatest thrill to fall again and again without even making an extra effort in prayer, but go on to excuse himself or herself for this sin saying its the weakness that makes them fall again and again.

God never built weakness into the human being. The weakness for certain things in life has developed since years, perhaps due to the result of bad associations and could be the lack of spending time in His presence.

To indulge in joyless sinning is no joy. It has no greatness if we keep on indulging in sin and keep on saying, "Lord have mercy on me.". This attitude blocks the relationship with our Lord.

2 Corin 5:17 says, "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold all things are become new." And these words of authority comes from the most powerful book in the world, the Word of God.

The definite transaction of conversion must take place in our lives. And no compromising whatsoever. The attitude of repentance must come into our lives decisively if we say we had the conversion. It must lead us into true pardon which leads us into joy. The joy of salvation.

We now then have put old things far away and all things have become new. We may be conscious of our weakness, but we will be more conscious of the mighty power that is sustaining us. Now we can say, "I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me."

Let us affirm and say, "I am redeemed by His blood: I am an overcomer: He will protect me: He will give me His power. All my sin, all my weakness, all my condemnation, all my misery, all my fears, I give it to you Lord. I belong to you, the King of Kings. Amen!
