In order to experience it, we need to be Empowered, Enriched And Enabled by the Spirit of the Lord To Rejoice Like David, the King of Israel.
Why are we many a times seeming to lack motivation to give off our best to the Master? The reason could be, we are not intimately acquainted with His divine Spirit leading.
Vice President of an MNC company was supposed to give an SOS feedback of a failed engine of a new car. The customer said, "they tried everything they knew, but couldn't start the car." Vice President reaches the place of the customer, lifted the hood of the car, checked and noticed that someone has stolen the motor of the car, the heart of the engine.
Many a times even in our lives, we try to run our lives without the empowering of the Lord's presence and His power of the Holy Spirit and suffer needless distress and despondency.
The Holy Spirit used David in powerful ways because David kept his spiritual priorities ahead of everything else, except one or two times in his lifetime.
Holy Spirit even in those days attracted many godly followers during David's regime because he unashamedly enjoyed praising the Lord with all of his emotions emanating from the heart. 2 Sam. 6: 14. David danced before the Lord with all his might. We also see in 16th verse. Now as the ark of the Lord came into the city of David, Michal ( David's wife), Saul's daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and encircling before the Lord; and she despised him in her heart.
When David steps into the house, Michal, his wife came out to meet him and said, "How glorious was the king of Israel today, uncovering himself in the eyes of the maids of his servants, as one of the base fellows shamelessly uncovers himself!"
Then David filled with the power of the Lord gave a fitting reply to her in verse 21, So David replied to Michal, "It was before the Lord who chose me instead of your father and all his household, to appoint me ruler over the people of the Lord. Therefore, I will play music before the Lord. And I will be even more undignified than this, and will be humble in my own sight. But as for the maid servants whom you have spoken, by them I will be held in honour." Therefore, Michal, the daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death.
