A group of 9 young experienced hikers somehow met a horrible death in the Ural Mountains of Russia in 1959. The Russian govt. investigated and concluded it was a "compelling natural force". There is a lot of speculation about what might have happened on the night of February 1 -2 in that frozen landscape.
