On Episode 44 we talked about why yo-yoing your wellness doesn't work and the importance of getting of that train!
Today, I'm sharing what Integrating Mind, Body, and Spirit into your wellness looks like and why it's so important. The only way to create results on a wellness journey that will last is to approach it from a more holistic approach. We strive and turn to unhealthy habits when our mind, body, and spirit are not in balance. This is why we stay on the yo-yo cycle so long! It's time to get off and get lasting results in your wellness journey.

Yo-Yoing your wellness is something that we all fall into at some point or another. Chasing the latest fad diet, restricting food groups, extreme fasting or fitness routines... these are all tools that we catch ourselves using to find wellness, but reality is, these methods do not create lasting change or results, and often can lead to other issues and more weight gain.
Today, I'm talking about these trends, why they dont work, and the approach you should be taking on your wellness journey. Let's dive in and then feel free to message me and let's chat some more. Connect with me on Instagram here: https://www.instagram.com/becomingpriority

Today I am wrapping up the month of May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month, talking about clutter. Clutter has been linked to increasing anxiety and depression, as well as costing us time, money, and added stress we don't need.
I share the steps to tackling clutter and the questions to ask ourselves when we are deciding whether we need to get rid of something or keep it. Clear spaces create calmer environments, help us to find things faster, and keep us from being distracted by all the things we see when we look around our space.
Listen in and let me know what area you will be tackling first, or share your favorite organization/decluttering hacks/resources with me. Connect with me on Instagram at https://www.instagram.com/becomingpriority or email me at becomingpriority@gmail.com
We have all heard the saying, change your thoughts, change your life and it is so true our life goes in the direction of our thoughts. Negative thoughts are something that every single person struggle with, whether you think so or not. Today I'm sharing 5 steps to reframe your negative thoughts through journaling that will help you stop the downward spiral of thoughts and beating yourself up in their tracks, and give you tangible statements to cling to that are true and more aligned with the direction your thoughts need to be going. Nobody wants to live in a negative headspace so these tips will help you shift those thoughts and get your thoughts, and your life, going in the direction you want it to.

I'm back after a 2 month break and I'm sharing on the podcast why I was on a break, how I fell off the Self-Care train, and what I learned through it all!
I'm not perfect, I struggle with balancing it all... JUST LIKE YOU. But I was reminded again why it is SO important to be intentional and make sure I am taking time to take care of ME! It's easy for all of us to slip when it comes to putting ourselves first when we have so many things that are priority in our lives. Nobody is immune to it. There isn't anything wrong with you if you fall off ... BUT it is so important to shake it off and get back into your rhythms and routines and to be intentional about taking care of you! YOU DESERVE IT and so do the people around you. Being healthy is so much more than a pant size or number on a scale and I'm reminding you of that today. So tune in and learn from my mistakes and let's continue on this journey of taking care of us TOGETHER as we move forward. I'm in it with you and I'm here to help encourage, inspire and support you as you figure out the best ways to care for you!
I would love to connect with you and help you with anything you are struggling with. Feel free to message me on Instagram HERE

I think alot of times we think we will find happiness in a place or thing, when we achieve or gain something. But today, I'm challenging those thoughts and talking about looking for happiness right where you are and instead looking at things and mindsets we need to let go of to find more happiness in life right where we are in with the people around us in the place we are, with the things we have.
I encourage you to listen and journal out your thoughts after you do. Reach out to me on Instagram and let me know your thoughts HERE

Instagram is full of beautiful morning routines that we all would love to make ours look like, but reality is, we are not all the same and most of the things we see on social media won't work for everyone. I'm talking about several things to consider when trying to implement a morning routine.. and spoiler alert... it starts the night before! Our morning routines can really set the tone for the rest of the day so we need to make sure we are being intentional with the things we do and taking time for ourselves... EVEN if you only have 5 minutes extra!

Today I am wrapping up the series on rest. We are finishing up today talking about Social and Spiritual rest.
The people around us do one of two things... they either drain us or energize us! When it comes to Social rest we need to spend that time with those that energize us! I dive into this more in this episode. When it comes to Spiritual rest, we can include the spiritual disciplines that we do daily, including time in the Word, prayer, and worship... but I'm challenging you to go a little deeper and take some off of your plate when it comes to the burdens we carry so make sure you listen and find out how you can carry less through life! I'm not saying your problems or stress will all go away... but we can give alot of what we carry over to God and create some true spiritual rest which will give us true rest and peace!

It's almost the end of the year and we are hearing all the ways we need to be setting goals, working hard to the end of the year, and pushing for even bigger goals for the coming year.... we are also hearing how we need to slow down, do less, enjoy more. I'm all about goals and plans but I want them to be set within healthy boundaries.
Today on the show I'm talking you through an exercise that will look back over the year so you can reframe what's ahead with some intention. We will use many questions to help us create 2 lists to look at where we have been and 2 lists to look at where we want to go. We will use these lists to create the intentions that we will frame the year ahead in. We can set all the goals and make all the plans and still look back and see where we missed out on how we wanted our lives to look. This exercise is powerful in helping you to move forward with a plan to live on purpose, how you are called, and to be who you were created to... no matter what goals you set for yourself!

Do you tend to look at movement and exercise as something to help you achieve the goal for how you want your body to look?
There are SO many benefits to moving your body. Today I will touch on just a few of those benefits for you. I want you to look at movement as something you GET to do to improve your entire body... and not just the physical appearance of it.
We spend a lot of money on vehicles to get us around and we spend a lot of money maintaining them so they will last us a very long time... Doesn't your body deserve the same? It is the vehicle that gets us around in life. We use it to care for and serve others and it is worth investing some time into it each day to make sure all systems are running well.

Are you overwhelmed?
Do you struggle with feeling overwhelmed with all the things on your plate?
Are the demands on your schedule leaving you feeling stressed out, frustrated and defeated?
I think we all struggle with overwhelm from time to time, so know that you are not alone! Overwhelm is not something we feel because of the chaos in your lives... but it IS something we feel because of the chaos in our minds!!! The best way to overcome overwhelm is to get the thoughts out of our minds that are contributing to the chaos. In today's episode I share how I use a brain dump to create a to do list that allows me to get all the things running through my mind onto paper and scheduled to be taken care of. When we can get the things we need to keep track of and remember onto paper and out of our heads, we can finally stop feeling overwhelmed! Creating a plan gives us freedom in the space in our minds and allows us to feel less overwhelmed and more in control.
