This is a meditation to start your day. Here is the format: 1) do a body scan 2) become aware of your senses 3) move that awareness to your periphery 4) focus on an anchor point (this is the bulk of the meditation) - It is okay for your mind to stray, the key is to bring it back to the anchor point when you notice rather than letting it continue to focus on thinking. When you are in this space you can remind yourself you are in a safe space. It is safe to let your brain focus on your senses rather than your thoughts. 5) when coming out of the meditation, focus on 3 gratitudes and then 7) embody your intention - think of who you want to be or how you want to show up in the world - how does that feel in your body? Let that feeling resonate fully in your body and go on with your day.
This is an intention setting meditation to begin to understand how to act in your own best interest.
