Last year's winners for Best Pairing, Runner Up - Best Beer, and Best Dish; Greg and Kent Dawson of Briar Common Brewery + Eatery join me today about one of my favorite events of the year and their amazing restaurant!! The idea of Briar Common started more than 20 years ago when brothers Kent and Greg began to enjoy a new style of beer sweeping the Northwest: The American IPA. After years of brewing small batches literally continents apart, they decided to make Briar Common a reality in 2013. Three years and a few dollars later, they opened Briar Common Brewery + Eatery in October of 2016 with the goal of offering balanced and drinkable beers, complemented by creative gastropub food.

Chef and Brew VIII Denver’s Most Delicious Beer Festival is finally upon us!!! Chef and Brew is Denver’s premier beer and food pairing competition and festival, bringing together Colorado’s top chefs and local craft brew masters. Over 20 craft brewers and chefs will team up to create the ultimate beer and food pairing. Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at The Exdo Event Center Tickets are still available - VIP $69; GA $49 VIP Guests gain early access to the event and a Belgian Beer glass to be used throughout the event. All guests will enjoy unlimited samples of all dishes and beers and cast their vote for the coveted People’s Choice Award. Each chef prepares two small bite dishes and each brewery samples a small pour of two of their finest. Chef and Brew promotes the notion that local craft beer is an ideal pairing for chef-driven food. Let’s meet the brother’s that own the brewpub that made a big splash at last years event!
