While fast growth is exciting, he realized he needed to shift to building a business that could last for the long run through developing efficient systems. The podcast offers advice on recognizing when a shift is needed from a "CrossFit" growth approach to a more sustainable "ultra marathon" model to find lasting success and enjoyment in business.

Goose started his entrepreneurial journey by organizing music festivals after breaking his back at age 14 and not being able to play sports.
In his 20s, Goose pursued his passions without a clear plan and felt largely unemployable. He had no real idea what he was doing.
By his late 30s, Goose was broke, alcoholic, and living on his office floor. This was a turning point that led him to restart his business journey.
Goose and his partner Gabby started their current successful business Dash Dot without knowing how to do sales, marketing, or run a business effectively.

Goose recommends shifting from a "CrossFit athlete" business model to an "ultra marathon runner" one focused on long-term sustainable success.
